British automaker Triumph has launched the 2022 version of its Trident 660 motorcycle in India. As a reminder, he made his world debut last month.

The motorcycle receives a new color called Matte Baja Orange with Matte Storm Gray and offers full LED lighting as well as two riding modes.

It is backed by a 660 cc inline three-cylinder engine that develops 79.8 hp of power.

Why is this story important?

  • The Triumph Trident 660 has been up for grabs in India for quite some time and the changes to the new model are only cosmetic. There are no mechanical or feature upgrades.
  • The vehicle has a head-turning look and offers decent features as well as performance. In our market, the premium two-wheeler faces rivals such as the Kawasaki Z650 and Honda CB650R.

The bike has a reinforced seat and Bluetooth connectivity

The 2022 Triumph Trident 660 features a muscular fuel tank, raised one-piece seat, underbelly exhaust, tall handlebars and guard-mounted license plate bracket rear tire mud.

The bike contains a Bluetooth-enabled digital dashboard, an all-LED lighting setup, and rolls on cast aluminum wheels.

It comes in four color options, including Matte Jet Black and Silver Ice/Diablo Red.

It runs on an 80hp 660cc engine

The Triumph Trident 660 draws its power from a 660 cc inline three-cylinder engine which generates a maximum power of 79.8 hp and a maximum torque of 64 Nm. The mill is linked to a 6-speed gearbox with a assist and slipper clutch.

There are disc brakes at both ends

In terms of safety equipment, the Triumph Trident 660 is equipped with disc brakes on the front and rear wheels, as well as dual-channel ABS for better handling. It also has two riding modes: Rain and Road.

Suspension duties on the two-wheeler are taken care of by 41mm inverted forks up front and a mono-shock unit with preload adjustment in the rear.

2022 Triumph Trident 660: price

In India, the 2022 iteration of the Triumph Trident 660 roadster sports a price of Rs. 7.58 lakh (ex-showroom). Changes to the bike are limited to adding a new color option.
