Biker dies in Newquay accident

A motorcyclist died following an accident in Newquay yesterday (Wednesday).
At around 3:30 p.m. Devon and Cornwall Police were called in about a traffic accident on Pentire Road in Newquay.
The accident involved a white Kawasaki motorcycle and a white Vauxhall Antara.

Tragically, as a result of the collision, the driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene.
The incident and the investigation that followed caused major disruption around Newquay as officers attempted to find out what had happened and secure the scene.
Officers from the Traffic Enforcement Team and the Serious Collision Investigation Team attended the scene with the collision investigators. The road was closed for several hours while a specialist examination of the scene took place.
Police use all witnesses and DashCam, or any form of CCTV in the area.
