Harley-Davidson becomes number one in sales of premium motorcycle segment in India

Harley-Davidson again managed to reach the top spot in sales in India. They hold the top spot in the premium motorcycle segment in the country. Earlier, the Harley-Davidson left the Indian market and again entered in 2020.

According to data shared by SIAM, Harley sold 601 motorcycles in fiscal year 2022, compared to just 206 Harley-Davidson motorcycles sold in fiscal year 2021. This is a 37% growth in sales. compared to last year.

Harley was in the lead with Triumph Motorcycles India selling 336 units, Kawasaki selling 283 units, Suzuki selling 233 and Honda selling 71 units in the 1000cc. Other American brands like the Pan America 1250 adventure tourer and the Sportster S cruiser have also been on the rise lately.

Harley’s early products were like the Street 750, Iron 883 and Forty-Eight which were locally assembled and made for Indian streets. Other imported Harley lineups in India are Pan America 1250, Sportster S, Fab Bob, Fat Boy, Heritage Classic, Road King, Road Glide and Street Glide. The company will soon introduce the Harley-Davidson Nightster.
