Honda sees 20% sales growth compared to September 2021; 25% year-on-year sales decline

Commenting on the October 2021 sales performance, Rajesh Goel, Senior Vice President and Director, Marketing and Sales, Honda Cars India Ltd, said: “In terms of demand, festive shopping has kept pace with last year. and continue to show good momentum. Our factory shipments in October 2021 were up 20% from September 2021 and we were able to wholesale our entire factory stock for the month. Although the situation remains dynamic due to the persistent challenges on the supply side, we are making every effort to maintain a steady pace of delivery and respond effectively to market demand. “

On the export side, Honda Cars India exported a total of 1,747 units in October 2021. By comparison, the company only exported 84 units in the same month in 2020, experiencing massive year-over-year growth. . However, a more appropriate comparison would be with the September 2021 exports, which amounted to 2,964 units. Compared to that, the company saw a 41% drop in MoM.
