Jonathan Rea stands out at the WSBK in Assen

Jonathan Rea maintained his championship lead in the World Superbike Championship (WSBK) race in Assen last Sunday.

The British Kawasaki rider was unbeatable this weekend, having already climbed to the top of the championship in the first race.

On Sunday Rea won two more races (the Superpole and the second main race), while Pata Yamaha’s Toprak Razgatlioglu was forced to retire following an accident. Thanks to the Dutchman’s career, the six-time champion is now 37 points ahead of Turkey.

Scott Redding of the Aruba.it Ducati team finished 3rd in the championship with 81 points. GRT Yamaha’s Garrett Gerloff remains the top independent with 20 points ahead of Team GoEleven / Ducati’s Chaz Davies although he did not score in race two. In terms of absolute ranking, they are respectively ranked sixth and ninth.

Andrea Locatelli of Pata Yamaha is the best rookie in tenth place after finishing third in race two on Sunday.

Pata Yamaha scored 80 points ahead of Kawasaki and Aruba.it Ducati in third position with 97 points. GRT Yamaha scored 41 points ahead of Team GoEleven in the independent race. Kawasaki is currently 27 points ahead of Yamaha, Ducati in third place with 30 points.
