Man killed in motorcycle accident on Louisiana Highway 308 near East 37th Street

Louisiana State Police announced the death of a motorcyclist who was killed in a single-vehicle crash on Louisiana Route 308 near East 37th Street Monday afternoon. According to state police, Robert Luent, 50, of Larose, died after his motorcycle left the roadway and rolled over, causing him to be ejected around 2 p.m. Luent was riding a 2016 Kawasaki motorcycle. Police are still investigating why Luent left the road. Luent was wearing a DOT-approved helmet, but still sustained fatal injuries. The accident is still under investigation.
