Top 10 Bikes of August 2022

The Honda Unicorn recorded the highest year-on-year growth in the top ten with 25,051 units sold in August 2022 compared to 5,679 units

Hero MotoCorp finished at the top of the sales chart in the month of August 2022 with 2,86,007 units sold compared to 2,41,703 units during the same period in 2021 with an 18.3% year-on-year sales increase. The Honda CB Shine was the second best-selling motorcycle in the country last month, but with negative year-on-year volume growth.

The entry-level Japanese commuter posted 1,20,139 units last month compared to 1,29,926 units in the corresponding period in 2021 with a year-on-year decline of 7.5%. The Bajaj Platina finished in third place with an impressive year-on-year sales increase of 76.6%, as almost one lakh units were registered in the month of August 2022.

La Platina registered 99,987 units compared to 56,615 units in August 2021. The hugely popular Bajaj Pulsar series managed a total of 97,135 units compared to 66,107 units during the same period in 2021 with a healthy annual growth of 46.9 %. The Hero HF Deluxe finished in fifth place with 72,224 units compared to 1,14,575 units during the same period last year.

This resulted in negative sales growth of 36.9% year-over-year. In the second half of the sales chart, TVS finished the Apache series in sixth position with 40,520 units registered against 16,423 units during the same period last year with a year-on-year growth of 146.7%. The Hero Passion finished in seventh position.

It garnered a cumulative national tally of 28,149 units compared to 14,812 units in the same period last year with a year-over-year volume increase of 90%. The Hero Glamor finished in eighth position with 27,613 units versus 23,747 units with year-over-year sales growth of 16.2%.

The Honda Unicorn finished in ninth position with 25,051 units compared to 5,679 units in the same period last year with a year-on-year growth of 341.1%, while the Bajaj CT100 completed the top ten with a total of 24,094 units versus 26,578 units with a year-on-year decline. by 9.3 percent.
