Topraz Razgatlioglu disappointed: “At the moment, winning is impossible with this bike”
On Saturday, Toprak Razgaltioglu had to retire from the first race of the weekend with seven laps to go. Already incurring his second retirement of the year, following his crash with Jonathan Rea in Assen, the Yamaha rider is not satisfied with the current performance of his R1 and points to the area that worries him the most.
“I’m not angry, I’m much more annoyed that I don’t feel as good on the bike as I did last year. My goal is always to win, in 2021 I was fast here, this time I didn’t I could only fight for the podium. It bothers me. I have to brake earlier than usual because the bike does not slow down as it should. It’s a big problem’said the Turk.
Quoted by corsedimoto.com, the #1 said he’s always on the edge and can’t bond with his bike like he did last season:
– The bike needs to improve. If we can do that, everything else will be easy for us. I always do my best, but I also need a good bike. Last year, I was one with the bike, it was my bike. We have improved this year, it’s true. But I am not satisfied with some areas. Therefore, we will change some parts. For now, with this bike, winning is impossible. I am constantly at the limit, I can neither ride relaxed nor have fun.
With three rounds and a first Misano race completed, Razgatlioglu has 109 points – he is third in the championship – and sees Alvaro Bautista in the lead with 186 points and Jonathan Rea with 164 points.
